A wasted opportunity for Sajoka FC. 7 minutes into the match, Edmundo Jenkins dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mitch Vinson, 1-0. When Sterling Woodruff came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sterling Woodruff couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute Sterling Woodruff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Vinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Hanley hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Sajoka FC's goalkeeper Mitch Vinson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jed Knight. The supporters of Sajoka FC booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquis Mabry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucien Becerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over C.J. Palacios. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucien Becerra ran back to his position shaking his head. Mitch Vinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Jenkins in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind AIK's goalkeeper C.J. Palacios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Patterson got free with Mitch Vinson in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute Sterling Woodruff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Vinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sajoka FC booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Patterson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Sterling Woodruff recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mitch Vinson. Sterling Woodruff showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. C.J. Palacios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Barnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sterling Woodruff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Rubin Larsen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mitch Vinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sterling Woodruff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Edmundo Jenkins hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Sajoka FC's Rickey Acero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that C.J. Palacios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edmundo Jenkins kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Sajoka FC booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Hammond didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th match minute, Sajoka FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Becerra to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Sterling Woodruff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Vinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sajoka FC's Lucien Becerra got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lucien Becerra came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sajoka FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucien Becerra couldn't finish the play. Rickey Acero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. C.J. Palacios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucien Becerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but C.J. Palacios made a huge save. Mitch Vinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Patterson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Sajoka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sterling Woodruff came free, but Mitch Vinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 98 minutes Sajoka FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pete Hanley who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Pete Hanley almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sajoka FC's Mitch Vinson did a great save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AIK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sajoka FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
