Enochville's Brendon Frazier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sterling Woodruff in the 22nd minute of play. Sterling Woodruff took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brendon Frazier. Brendon Frazier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Brendon Frazier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sterling Woodruff in the 27th minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind AIK's goalkeeper C.J. Palacios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jed Knight sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Sterling Woodruff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sterling Woodruff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jed Knight recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brendon Frazier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sterling Woodruff, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jackson Wade made the kick off in the second half. Sterling Woodruff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 63rd match minute, AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William DeJesus to maneuver through the defense.
