The referee ignored East Los Angeles's protests and gave Darell Flynn a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 90th minute, when Arsenal FC's Luciano McNeil after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Nathan Harman in East Los Angeles's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Kory Haines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Arsenal FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for East Los Angeles.
