Silas Roche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Junior Fugate having to interfere. If Tony Melvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Pedro Vigil sped through Bronx Bombers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Junior Fugate. Energia Fc's Pedro Vigil got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Junior Fugate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glen Keane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Florian Morrison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bronx Bombers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Energia Fc the free kick. In the 22nd minute, one of Bronx Bombers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bronx Bombers FC. The referee gave Energia Fc a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Micah Faulkner, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bronx Bombers FC's Junior Fugate. 0-2. Silas Roche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Glen Keane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Bronx Bombers FC defense, Silas Roche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Junior Fugate. The Bronx Bombers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Junior Fugate should have stopped the shot. Ramon Godfrey's late challenge caught a Energia Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramon Godfrey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Bronx Bombers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Godfrey to maneuver through the defense. When Pedro Vigil came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Energia Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Vigil couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Energia Fc's Silas Roche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Junior Fugate narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Pedro Vigil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Pedro Vigil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Bronx Bombers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Roche came free, but Junior Fugate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tony Melvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-3 became the score in the 47th minute when Van Simmons elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After the first half Energia Fc were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silas Roche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Roche in the 61st minute of play forced Bronx Bombers FC's goalkeeper Junior Fugate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Energia Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Tharp to maneuver through the defense. Van Simmons hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Pedro Vigil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Junior Fugate made a huge save. Gary Feldman kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Bronx Bombers FC's Junior Fugate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Roche in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Bronx Bombers FC's goalkeeper Junior Fugate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Vigil. Junior Fugate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Roche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Junior Fugate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Silas Roche got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Silas Roche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bronx Bombers FC's Junior Fugate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Roche in the 90th minute of play. Pedro Vigil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Junior Fugate made a huge save. Silas Roche received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Junior Fugate came out and tried to block the shot, but Silas Roche slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 93rd minute. The Bronx Bombers FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Energia Fc's performance. The match ended with a win for Energia Fc.
