Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Cobi Hyde successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Shelby Spicer's late challenge caught a Arsenal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shelby Spicer helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Energia Fc got a freekick which was hit by Shelby Spicer. In the 15th minute, Pedro Vigil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandy Sheldon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sandy Sheldon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Roche in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Pedro Vigil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Energia Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Vigil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silas Roche took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandy Sheldon. Sandy Sheldon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pedro Vigil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silas Roche in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandy Sheldon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arsenal FC's Sandy Sheldon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Vigil in the 35th minute of play. Sandy Sheldon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Vigil, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Sandy Sheldon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Vigil's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. If Glen Keane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Vigil in the 45th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Sandy Sheldon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pedro Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Energia Fc were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the game, Micah Faulkner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Energia Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal FC the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Micah Faulkner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Roche came free, but Sandy Sheldon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano McNeil during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luciano McNeil hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Pedro Vigil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Sandy Sheldon made a huge save. After 62 minutes of play, Arsenal FC's Marvin Martinez made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cobi Hyde was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal FC's zone, Pedro Vigil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandy Sheldon came out of the goal and Pedro Vigil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Energia Fc booed when Arsenal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Toney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cobi Hyde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marvin Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Pedro Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Vigil came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Energia Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Vigil couldn't finish the play. Sandy Sheldon was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Silas Roche capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silas Roche really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After having played for 89 minutes, Kory Haines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kory Haines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
