In the 5th minute Henry Wilkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garrett Horne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keith Steward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ace Green having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Henry Wilkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galt AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Wilkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Henry Wilkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garrett Horne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mitch Murry was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, one of East Moriches AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gustavo Gould shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Wiley Shepard struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Garrett Horne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galt AFC. Ace Green made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Bernier in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Dwayne Caldwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Keith Steward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ace Green saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Wiley Shepard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Garrett Horne was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Henry Wilkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keith Steward stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Galt AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dwayne Caldwell hit a great ball. If Alex Bernier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Garrett Horne managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Galt AFC's Carlo Koehler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 62nd minute, Wiley Shepard made a precise shot to the right of Garrett Horne. East Moriches AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Garrett Horne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiley Shepard, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69thth minute of the game Keith Steward who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galt AFC's Ace Green was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. East Moriches AFC's Titus Abbott got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Keith Steward received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ace Green tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Keith Steward left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The East Moriches AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Ace Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith Steward in the 78th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Wiley Shepard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Garrett Horne. That made the score 3-3 in the 83 minute of play. Garrett Horne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiley Shepard, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Titus Abbott managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Moriches AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Titus Abbott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ace Green breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garrett Horne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiley Shepard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
