Justin Keane, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Texas FC's J.C. Sherwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sterling Lawrence in the 5th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 7th minute when Rodger Mendoza elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Anthony Merritt kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Justin Keane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the last second Spencer Zamora throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rodger Mendoza in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. J.C. Sherwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sterling Lawrence in the 17th minute of the match. J.C. Sherwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murray Gibson in the 21st minute of play. Rodger Mendoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute of the match, Asher Luther got a very nice opportunity to score, but Spencer Zamora was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Spencer Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodger Mendoza in the 31st minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Asher Luther reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Spencer Zamora. The goal made the score 3-0. After 41 played minutes Texas FC got a freekick which was hit by Renato Bond. Justin Keane was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asher Luther was the one to do the kick off. Rodger Mendoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spencer Zamora having to interfere. Spencer Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asher Luther in the 54th minute of play. Spencer Zamora stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asher Luther's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Asher Luther notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Manvel Argentina Soccer's Spencer Zamora. Spencer Zamora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Spencer Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asher Luther, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience was convinced that Asher Luther's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Spencer Zamora was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Rodger Mendoza made a great header on Texas FC's corner, it was just that Manvel Argentina Soccer's Spencer Zamora managed to reach the ball for a save. Murray Gibson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without J.C. Sherwood having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Texas FC's Filiberto Raines seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Filiberto Raines the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Texas FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Filiberto Raines had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Texas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! 82 minutes into the game, Texas FC's Asher Luther nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Spencer Zamora made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1.
