Spectators: 7734 (Terracing: 5802, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Theo Cerna took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 13th minute, J.P. Doe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toby Hillman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Orr having to interfere. Louie Michaud hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Louie Michaud's late challenge caught a Hayward's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Louie Michaud helped the player get up and apologised. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Sam Orr successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 31 minutes into the game, Heriberto Corey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Concond United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hayward the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Concond United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 32 minutes, Hayward's Marshall Masters got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sam Orr. 35 minutes into the match, Mervin Beatty notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Hayward's Jayson Nielsen. Jayson Nielsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Hayward's zone, Mervin Beatty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jayson Nielsen came out of the goal and Mervin Beatty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jayson Nielsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Cerna, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toby Hillman was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Concond United's goal looked a bit too open when Toby Hillman came free, but Sam Orr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sam Orr came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Hayward's Toby Hillman. But to his dismay, Toby Hillman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Jayson Nielsen was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Theo Cerna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Theo Cerna really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Louie Michaud kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Mervin Beatty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jayson Nielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Olin Chang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hayward and the Concond United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hayward getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Olin Chang hit a great ball. 74 minutes in the game, Theo Cerna fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jayson Nielsen having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Concond United's Werner Pittman tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 78 played minutes Hayward got a freekick which was hit by Palmer Byrne. When Gustavo Saldana fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hayward's protests and gave Gustavo Saldana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th match minute, Hayward was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Saldana to maneuver through the defense. Hayward's Jayson Nielsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Hayward from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Hayward getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Colin Milligan hit a great ball. Concond United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
