Spectators: 6930 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toby Hillman kicked off to start the match. The Hayward fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Hayward's Daryl Putnam looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 17th minute, Olin Chang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jayson Nielsen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Justin Keane. In the 19th minute, Toby Hillman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Hayward's Jayson Nielsen got control of the ball when Berry Russo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hayward's zone, Berry Russo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jayson Nielsen came out of the goal and Berry Russo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berry Russo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jayson Nielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jayson Nielsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Murray Gibson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 28 minute of play. Murray Gibson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jayson Nielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spencer Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toby Hillman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berry Russo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayson Nielsen having to interfere. If Murray Gibson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murray Gibson was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Vernon Jacob shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jayson Nielsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Murray Gibson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jayson Nielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Manvel Argentina Soccer's Berry Russo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jayson Nielsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jayson Nielsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harry Norris went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Hayward's Jayson Nielsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murray Gibson in the 72nd minute of play. Berry Russo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayson Nielsen having to interfere. Jayson Nielsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berry Russo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murray Gibson in the 87th minute of play forced Hayward's goalkeeper Jayson Nielsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jayson Nielsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berry Russo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hayward's Daryl Putnam got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berry Russo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manvel Argentina Soccer's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
