Exequiel Tibalt kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute, J.P. Doe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Gustavo Saldana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hayward fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 17 played minutes, Leeds's Ari Coley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jayson Nielsen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leeds reached it. Daryl Putnam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Ramiro Domenec when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Hayward's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Napier came free, but Jayson Nielsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Hayward was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Saldana to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Leeds's Joe Burkett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jayson Nielsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Hayward's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Napier came free, but Jayson Nielsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toby Hillman in the 41st minute of play forced Leeds's goalkeeper Ramiro Domenec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramiro Domenec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daryl Putnam went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The corner ended in Nathanial Ciauri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hayward's Jayson Nielsen did a great save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Joe Burkett got free with Jayson Nielsen in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daryl Putnam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ramiro Domenec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Domenec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toby Hillman in the 95th minute of the match. Daryl Putnam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Domenec having to interfere. Hayward were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Leeds for a fine match.
