James Christie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Justin Kincaid made a huge save. Kristopher Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Bill Romo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidro Sherrill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristopher Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Sherrill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bill Romo in the 34th minute of the match. James Christie hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th match minute, Smithtown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Christie to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Smithtown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Romo came free, but Isidro Sherrill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. East Moline's Justin Kincaid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Pagan in the 42nd minute of play. Trent Kenny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Justin Kincaid made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nathanial Goff during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Smithtown FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Nathanial Goff hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristopher Marin was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Smithtown FC's Eusebio Barton got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Marin in the 73rd minute of play forced Smithtown FC's goalkeeper Isidro Sherrill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristopher Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bill Romos short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Isidro Sherrill to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Kristopher Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Wes Pagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
