When Randell Read fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Social Circle's protests and gave Randell Read a yellow card for diving instead. Randell Read hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. South Eliot AFC's Darron Huntley got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dale Diggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Florian Dickey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 7th minute of the match Randell Read completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Randell Read a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Social Circle's Randell Read got a free kick in the 8th minute. Pete Deleon hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute of the match Darron Huntley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florian Dickey skillfully saved the ball. In the 11th minute, one of Social Circle:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Social Circle. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for South Eliot AFC. Darron Huntley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Florian Dickey. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jeremy Hamby managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Eliot AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremy Hamby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Dickey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dale Diggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Dickey having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Social Circle's Pete Deleon got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Florian Dickey came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by South Eliot AFC's Jeremy Hamby. But to his dismay, Jeremy Hamby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Pete Deleon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the game, Social Circle's Elton Annan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casey Worthington made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Dale Diggs took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Dickey. Florian Dickey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
