The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Clarksville got a freekick which was hit by Leroy Peralta. Heriberto Cabourne, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Wompa booed when Clarksville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryce Howe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brandon Cesario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickie Moore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clarksville's Brandon Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickie Moore in the 11th minute of play. Bernie Kraft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Clarksville got a freekick which was hit by Bryce Howe. Wilson Whitten charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilson Whitten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wompa! The referee gave Clarksville a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ollie Dyer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wompa's Stuart Hutchinson. 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Clint Raymond dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brandon Cesario, 1-1. Clarksville's Brandon Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neal McLeod in the 30th minute of play. Neal McLeod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clint Raymond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Brandon Cesario made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Clint Raymond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brandon Cesario was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 45th minute Frankie Burch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Cesario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Clarksville's goal looked a bit too open when Clint Raymond came free, but Brandon Cesario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute Clint Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Cesario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Clarksville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leroy Peralta to maneuver through the defense. The Clarksville fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Clarksville's Bernie Kraft looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 70 minutes into the match, Wompa's goal looked a bit too open when Bernie Kraft came free, but Stuart Hutchinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Olin Alonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clarksville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olin Alonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clarksville's Brandon Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickie Moore in the 73rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Clarksville defense, Rickie Moore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brandon Cesario. The Clarksville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brandon Cesario should have stopped the shot. Brandon Cesario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clint Raymond, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Brandon Cesario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clint Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wompa's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
