Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Bullock in the 7th minute of play forced Newtown Grant FC's goalkeeper Gary Toth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Gregory Benoit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Garth Dykes made a precise shot to the right of Gary Toth. Newtown Grant FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gary Toth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Dykes in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raymundo Echols in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerry Culver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Raymundo Echols put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jerry Culver. If Filiberto Doty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Raymundo Echols managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newtown Grant FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymundo Echols was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Newtown Grant FC's Kenneth Elliott seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kenneth Elliott the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Newtown Grant FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kenneth Elliott had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newtown Grant FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Liverpool FC a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Trevor Gutierrez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Newtown Grant FC's Gary Toth. 1-2. Edward Bullock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Roland Roland fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newtown Grant FC's protests and gave Roland Roland a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Newtown Grant FC got a freekick which was hit by Roland Roland. Gary Toth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Dykes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Edward Bullock put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gary Toth. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blake Pickett during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The wind increased when Edward Bullock made the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Doty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Culver having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blake Pickett to maneuver through the defense. When Filiberto Doty came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Newtown Grant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Doty couldn't finish the play. Sean Bland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Culver having to interfere. When Liverpool FC's Edward Bullock in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gary Toth made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Garth Dykes sent off a good shot on target. Garth Dykes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edward Bullock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gary Toth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gary Toth was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Edward Bullock capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Bullock really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. 79 minutes into the game, Filiberto Doty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newtown Grant FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverpool FC the free kick. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Newtown Grant FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Doty didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 minutes, Gregory Benoit mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newtown Grant FC and the Liverpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Newtown Grant FC's Gregory Benoit got a free kick in the 81st minute. Trevor Gutierrez, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Freddy Merrill took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerry Culver. Liverpool FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Marlon Whittaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liverpool FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
