Gary Toth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamel Fulton, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Gregory Benoit's late challenge caught a Lamar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregory Benoit helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Newtown Grant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregory Benoit to maneuver through the defense. If Filiberto Doty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Lamar got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Carlos. Filiberto Doty scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davis Pollock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filiberto Doty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davis Pollock having to interfere. A collision led to Lamar getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ronny Carlos hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymundo Echols in the 54th minute of play forced Lamar's goalkeeper Davis Pollock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Raymundo Echols managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newtown Grant FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymundo Echols was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davis Pollock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raymundo Echols recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Newtown Grant FC's Raymundo Echols in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lamar's goalie prevented a goal. Newtown Grant FC's Filiberto Doty got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymundo Echols in the 72nd minute of play forced Lamar's goalkeeper Davis Pollock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raymundo Echols in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davis Pollock saved Lamar from getting behind. Lamar's Davis Pollock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymundo Echols in the 81st minute of play. Davis Pollock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Echols, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 86 minutes, Ronald Singleton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lamar and the Newtown Grant FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Lamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Singleton to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Kenneth Elliott sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lamar's Davis Pollock didn't even have to move. When Jamel Fulton came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Lamar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamel Fulton couldn't finish the play. Davis Pollock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Doty in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Lamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Moseley to maneuver through the defense. Newtown Grant FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
