Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilberto Bruce started the match with the kick off. Gary Toth came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Springfield FC's Max Bolton. But to his dismay, Max Bolton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Newtown Grant FC's Filiberto Doty sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lanny Cobb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Newtown Grant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Roland to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Gilberto Bruce put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gary Toth. In the 19th minute of the match Rory Mata shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gary Toth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Max Bolton notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Newtown Grant FC's Gary Toth. Gary Toth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Max Bolton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gary Toth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Bolton, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Springfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raymundo Echols came free, but Lanny Cobb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Newtown Grant FC's Raymundo Echols got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Max Bolton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gary Toth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Max Bolton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gary Toth was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Gilberto Bruce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Springfield FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raymundo Echols was the one to do the kick off. Gilberto Bruce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gary Toth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Bolton stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gary Toth. 0-4. 0-5 became the score in the 70th minute when Max Bolton elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newtown Grant FC's goalkeeper Gary Toth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Newtown Grant FC's Gary Toth got control of the ball when Max Bolton tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Bruce in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gary Toth saved Newtown Grant FC from getting behind. In the 85th match minute, Newtown Grant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Roland to maneuver through the defense. Springfield FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
