Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Bullock started the match with the kick off. Garth Dykes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Moses Moses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Gorman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Bullock, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Garth Dykes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Gorman having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's Edward Bullock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erik Gorman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Liverpool FC's Edward Bullock got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garth Dykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Gorman having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Stanford Owen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garth Dykes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Erik Gorman made a huge save. Theo Ulrich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jerry Culver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Sporting Olathe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odell Pate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Bullock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Gorman having to make a save. Garth Dykes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Theo Ulrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Theo Ulrich to strike the kick off in the second half. Erik Gorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Dykes in the 57th minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 61st minute, but Jerry Culver got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Liverpool FC hanging dry this time. Sporting Olathe's Erik Gorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Dykes in the 63rd minute of play. Odell Pate's late challenge caught a Liverpool FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Odell Pate helped the player get up and apologised. Odell Pate hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Bullock in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Gorman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tom Burke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Jerry Culver made a huge save. Garth Dykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Gorman having to interfere. When Quintin Crowder fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Olathe's protests and gave Quintin Crowder a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, one of Sporting Olathe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Olathe.
