When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Bruce made a kick off. Pittsburgh Pirates's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Maxwell Garrison scored to the left of an out of position Tomas Yost, making the score, 1-3.
