The supporters of Springfield FC booed when High Ridge AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Guidry didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Gilberto Bruce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Springfield FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Bruce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for High Ridge AFC! In the 13th minute, Springfield FC got a penalty, and Max Bolton placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Lanny Cobb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Ransom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg German Payton managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Springfield FC's Gilberto Bruce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Max Bolton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for German Payton. High Ridge AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Max Bolton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but German Payton made a huge save. Max Bolton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Bruce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Ransom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 minutes, Rory Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Springfield FC and the High Ridge AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Rory Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. High Ridge AFC's German Payton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Bolton in the 58th minute of play. When Marty Guidry was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. In the 60th match minute, High Ridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marty Guidry to maneuver through the defense. German Payton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Bruce in the 63rd minute of the match. German Payton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Bruce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Max Bolton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but German Payton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. German Payton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Bruce, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Lanny Cobb made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 96 played minutes High Ridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ervin Pulliam. Springfield FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
