An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitch Putnam in the 6th minute of play forced New Whiteland FC's goalkeeper Peter Cuevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blaine Longoria lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 6th minute, one of New Whiteland FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New Whiteland FC. 9 minutes into the game, Lamar's Vance Allen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Cuevas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Lamar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New Whiteland FC:s goal. Lee Whitney shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. New Whiteland FC's Peter Cuevas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitch Putnam in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Lamar's Quentin Moseley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Quincy Burks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davis Pollock. Lamar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quincy Burks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Davis Pollock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Marshall in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quentin Marshall in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davis Pollock saved Lamar from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Lamar's Ronny Carlos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peter Cuevas. That made the score 3-1 after 32 minutes of play. Ronald Singleton hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Lee Whitney took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Davis Pollock. Lamar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lamar's Bryce McKay got a free kick in the 37th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quincy Burks was the one to do the kick off. Quentin Marshall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Davis Pollock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Lamar got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Moseley. Peter Cuevas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quentin Moseley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, New Whiteland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quentin Moseley came free, but Peter Cuevas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Mitch Putnam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quentin Marshall struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Davis Pollock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Whiteland FC. Lamar's Ronny Carlos suffered a sore thigh after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 87 minutes into the match, New Whiteland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jamel Fulton came free, but Peter Cuevas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
