Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wesley Carver kicked off to start the match. Daron Bright could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Danny Glover made a huge save. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chicago FC's goalkeeper Danny Glover, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Escalon's Wesley Carver got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ethan Aguilar during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Chicago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ethan Aguilar to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Clint Benoit sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Escalon's Carlo Thorne didn't even have to move. If Wesley Carver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Daron Bright came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Escalon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daron Bright couldn't finish the play. Escalon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sol Hinkle in the 61st minute. A collision led to Escalon getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Wesley Carver hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Daron Bright managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escalon's supporters rose to their feet, but Daron Bright was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Glover breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Escalon's Carlo Thorne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Escalon from getting a goal against them. Jon Cunningham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Thorne having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Tanner Mays hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Daron Bright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Glover saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chicago FC's Danny Glover played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daron Bright in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, one of Escalon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Escalon. Wesley Carver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Carver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Danny Glover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daron Bright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 100th minute Jon Cunningham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Thorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
