Eldon Zeigler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ari Oakley's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominic Newell during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Goblin Ski Patrol's Dominic Newell got a free kick in the 7th minute. Goblin Ski Patrol's Art Urmanski got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Edmundo Estes fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goblin Ski Patrol's protests and gave Edmundo Estes a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Goblin Ski Patrol got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Estes. Port au Voleurs's attack was well implemented in the 16th minute, but when Ari Oakley was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Jonathan Holbrook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Goblin Ski Patrol's Jonathan Holbrook sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sherwood Pacheco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute of the match Rex Jorgensen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sherwood Pacheco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 29th minute Jonathan Holbrook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sherwood Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Port au Voleurs defense, Art Urmanski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sherwood Pacheco. The Port au Voleurs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sherwood Pacheco should have stopped the shot. Sherwood Pacheco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Holbrook went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Art Urmanski to make the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Monte Stark who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goblin Ski Patrol's Eldon Zeigler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Port au Voleurs getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jayson Boone hit a great ball. Jonathan Holbrook struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Sherwood Pacheco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goblin Ski Patrol. Jonathan Holbrook recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ty Wiseman hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Ari Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldon Zeigler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Monte Stark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Monte Stark in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eldon Zeigler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Art Urmanski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Port au Voleurs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jonathan Holbrook fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eldon Zeigler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ari Oakley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eldon Zeigler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monte Stark in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monte Stark in the 83rd minute of play forced Goblin Ski Patrol's goalkeeper Eldon Zeigler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monte Stark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eldon Zeigler having to interfere. If Monte Stark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Art Urmanski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sherwood Pacheco having to interfere. Eldon Zeigler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monte Stark in the 93rd minute of play. Jonathan Holbrook could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Sherwood Pacheco made a huge save. Jonathan Holbrook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goblin Ski Patrol's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
