Sherwood Pacheco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brant Powell in the 8th minute. Monte Stark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Roland Howard came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Chicago FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Howard couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute Monte Stark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Glover saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jon Cunningham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sherwood Pacheco. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. If Brant Powell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Earl Castle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Port au Voleurs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chicago FC the free kick. Earl Castle kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Jon Cunningham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Port au Voleurs's Sherwood Pacheco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Port au Voleurs's Sherwood Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Cunningham in the 33rd minute of play. Jon Cunningham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sherwood Pacheco having to interfere. Danny Glover took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monte Stark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ari Oakley to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jon Cunningham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chicago FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Cunningham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sherwood Pacheco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 2-0 became the score in the 56th minute when Jon Cunningham elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sherwood Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brant Powell in the 60th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Jon Cunningham put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sherwood Pacheco. Brant Powell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monte Stark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Danny Glover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Port au Voleurs a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Trenton Pritchard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chicago FC's Danny Glover. 3-1. A wasted opportunity for Chicago FC. 94 minutes into the match, Chicago FC's goalkeeper Danny Glover had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Monte Stark. Ari Oakley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Glover having to interfere. Danny Glover came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Port au Voleurs's Monte Stark. But to his dismay, Monte Stark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Chicago FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
