One of Cloquet:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Macalin S.A.D:s goal. Cloquet:s Darren Tidwell showed great skill when he stopped Cason McQueen:s penalty. In the 6th minute Julian Lester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darren Tidwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donny Lawler in the 15th minute of the match. Darren Tidwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Lawler in the 19th minute of play. Darren Tidwell came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Macalin S.A.D's Donny Lawler. But to his dismay, Donny Lawler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jamar Hughes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Francisco Sykes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Macalin S.A.D's Gavin Velez got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bryant Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Braxton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Cloquet's Julian Lester sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bryant Ortiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donny Lawler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Darren Tidwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

A collision led to Cloquet getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tracy Grossman hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Macalin S.A.D's Cason McQueen tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bryant Ortiz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Lester showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 76 minute of play.
