Berwick AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Art Pulliam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Eliseo Forrest cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ricky Hawthorne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliseo Forrest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Art Pulliam might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricky Hawthorne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Art Pulliam ran back to his position shaking his head. 97 minutes into the match, West Side Highway FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Gill came free, but Ricky Hawthorne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Berwick AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than West Side Highway FC throughout the match.
