Dalton Osborn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Lawler, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donny Lawler was the one to do the kick off. Sporting KC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Gavin Velez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalton Osborn having to interfere. Stanton Burrell kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Donny Lawler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalton Osborn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Macalin S.A.D players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sporting KC.
