After a defensive mix-up in Atlanta United FC's zone, Milo Miles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casey Gates came out of the goal and Milo Miles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Crucifyxae's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jason Dooley fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Federico McLeod was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Rocco Duvall capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rocco Duvall really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. Atlanta United FC's Casey Gates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milo Miles in the 37th minute of play. Mohammad Mayfield might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casey Gates. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mohammad Mayfield ran back to his position shaking his head. Houston Sullivan kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Edward Carrasco came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Crucifyxae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Carrasco couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Milo Miles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Casey Gates when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Milo Miles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Carrasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jason Dooley came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Atlanta United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Dooley couldn't finish the play. Jason Dooley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Crucifyxae players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atlanta United FC.
