In the 14thth minute of the game Seth Madden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Barcelona's Alexander Ambrose was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Seth Madden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Ambrose came out of the goal and Seth Madden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Vernon Echols managed to get in a good position for a shot. RedArmyFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vernon Echols was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Ambrose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vernon Echols sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexander Ambrose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Madden in the 22nd minute of play. When Vernon Echols came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the RedArmyFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vernon Echols couldn't finish the play. RedArmyFC's Seth Madden got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Markus Huber struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. David Chan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona.
