The referee ignored Green's protests and gave Colby Singletary a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Green:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Barcelona:s goal. The referee gave FC Barcelona a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rusty Collins, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Green's Ted Ott. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Taylor Arrington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green's supporters rose to their feet, but Taylor Arrington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Ambrose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Donovan Grady stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Ambrose came out of the goal and Donovan Grady tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Burns charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Burns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Manuel Burns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taylor Arrington blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Ambrose having to make a save. Taylor Arrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alexander Ambrose tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bryce Crowley's late challenge caught a FC Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bryce Crowley helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Green got a freekick which was hit by Bryce Crowley. Donovan Grady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexander Ambrose was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Donovan Grady showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 36 minute of play. Ted Ott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Watts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half FC Barcelona were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donovan Grady stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexander Ambrose took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donovan Grady, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Donovan Grady's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Ambrose was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 58th minute Taylor Arrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Ambrose saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Ambrose showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donovan Grady in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Green booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Weston Donaldson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Green's Donovan Grady got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexander Ambrose showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donovan Grady in the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donovan Grady in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Ambrose prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nathanial Lemons hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ted Ott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Watts in the 69th minute of the match. FC Barcelona's Alexander Ambrose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taylor Arrington in the 70th minute of play. Alexander Ambrose came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Green's Donovan Grady. But to his dismay, Donovan Grady quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Taylor Arrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Ambrose having to interfere. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Manuel Burns hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Donovan Grady came free, but Alexander Ambrose reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Green failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
