The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Monty Lefler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adelanto AFC's Sydney Cooley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Lefler in the 51st minute of play. Juan Harris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Casey Gates tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Harris got free with Casey Gates in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 63 minutes, Chase Irwin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adelanto AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chase Irwin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Chase Irwin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlanta United FC's Casey Gates was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maxwell Turner kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Atlanta United FC's Jason Dooley, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside.
