Bob Martinez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bob Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Winfred Lord in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Eli Hirsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bob Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eli Hirsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Ward was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Lindenhusrt Foxes's zone, Monty Hurd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Williamson came out of the goal and Monty Hurd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 61 played minutes Lindenhusrt Foxes got a freekick which was hit by Parker Morse. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Leon Ward managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monty Hurd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Leon Ward got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Winfred Lord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bob Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Guy Hobbs fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lindenhusrt Foxes's protests and gave Guy Hobbs a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Lindenhusrt Foxes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hunters Creek Village AFC:s goal. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Hunters Creek Village AFC. Pete Crenshaw stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jason Williamson. 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hunters Creek Village AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
