Dunsfold Interceptors FC's Jayson Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jon Parker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rusty Goddard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Dunsfold Interceptors FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Aidan Quintana hit a great ball. When Rusty Goddard got free in front of the goal in the 39th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jon Parker was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jayson Michael was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Corley in the 51st minute of play forced Dunsfold Interceptors FC's goalkeeper Clayton Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trey Hoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Dunsfold Interceptors FC's Quincy Dodson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The Buchanan fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Buchanan's Jeramy Rouse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Rusty Goddard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rusty Goddard got free with Jon Parker in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rusty Goddard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jon Parker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Buchanan fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dunsfold Interceptors FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
