Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sanford Saenz took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Jasper Ivey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanford Saenz in the 8th minute of play forced St Paul Trojans's goalkeeper Brendon Solis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sanford Saenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute, Len Kaiser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Don Nickerson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack Ritter in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Earl Godfrey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brendon Solis made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Brandon Lloyd sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the game, Len Kaiser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canadian's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave St Paul Trojans the free kick. Jack Ritter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute of the match Rudolph Corbin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Earl Godfrey skillfully saved the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Willy Reynolds shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Earl Godfrey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Jack Ritter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Earl Godfrey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Don Nickerson sped through Canadian's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Earl Godfrey. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Ritter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack Ritter in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Earl Godfrey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Canadian's Earl Godfrey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Ritter in the 59th minute of play. Brandon Lloyd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendon Solis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jack Ritter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Earl Godfrey was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jack Ritter in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Earl Godfrey saved Canadian from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Freddy Kiser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Canadian's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ritter came free, but Earl Godfrey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Len Kaiser kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Jack Ritter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St Paul Trojans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Ritter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Don Nickerson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Don Nickerson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shelton Macias charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shelton Macias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Canadian booed when St Paul Trojans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shelton Macias didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adolfo Goff came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the St Paul Trojans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Goff couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute Tanner Pittman suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 94th minute of the match Len Kaiser completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Len Kaiser a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Canadian getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Len Kaiser hit a great ball. St Paul Trojans's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
