Don Nickerson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Brendon Kirkpatrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Tanner Pittman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jack Ritter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brendon Kirkpatrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Ritter, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Don Nickerson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jack Ritter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Don Nickerson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Brendon Kirkpatrick to make any attempt to save it. Brendon Kirkpatrick was a little too slow when Don Nickerson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Colin Hirsch to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, St Paul Trojans's Jack Ritter made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendon Kirkpatrick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Don Nickerson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When St Paul Trojans's Don Nickerson in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sharpsburg's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, St Paul Trojans's Shawn Whaley got a free kick in the 64th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Marlon Burrell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sharpsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave St Paul Trojans the free kick. Marlon Burrell hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Shawn Whaley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brendon Kirkpatrick showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Colin Hirsch fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Brendon Solis, passed just outside the right post. Brendon Kirkpatrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Nickerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Jack Ritter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jack Ritter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When St Paul Trojans's Don Nickerson in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sharpsburg. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for St Paul Trojans. Shawn Whaley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brendon Kirkpatrick. 6-0. There was no doubt that St Paul Trojans were the better team. St Paul Trojans's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
