In the 25th minute Jayson Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon Kirkpatrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matt Guy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Clayton Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Rusty Goddard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brendon Kirkpatrick was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Colin Hirsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clayton Becker having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matt Guy got free with Clayton Becker in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Sharpsburg's goal looked a bit too open when Jayson Michael came free, but Brendon Kirkpatrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Brendon Kirkpatrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jayson Michael, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
