With a little luck, East Orange's Milton Norton got control of the ball when Claude Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to East Orange getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rufus Barger hit a great ball. Travis Clifford shot a long shot in the 28th minute and a light blocked Milton Norton hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-0. With 38 minutes on the clock, Reuben Busby commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for East Orange! After having played for 48 minutes, Tad Carney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ricardo garcia Bernal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tad Carney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 93rd minute, Claude Lucas made a precise shot to the right of Milton Norton. East Orange's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.
