The supporters of Leo & Chivo booed when Habana F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willie Tyler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Newcomb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kirby Park tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Van Haskins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Habana F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Van Haskins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirby Park breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Habana F.C's J.C. Thomason sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kirby Park narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Willie Tyler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randolph Ziegler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Eaton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alan Eaton was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers J.C. Thomason in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kirby Park saved Leo & Chivo from getting behind. Ferdinand Newcomb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kirby Park tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute J.C. Thomason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirby Park saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo & Chivo's Kirby Park played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.C. Thomason in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Sonny Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, Alan Eaton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leo & Chivo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Habana F.C the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Leo & Chivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Eaton to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Habana F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Eaton came free, but Randolph Ziegler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leo & Chivo's goalkeeper Kirby Park, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute J.C. Thomason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirby Park saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kirby Park made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from J.C. Thomason in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Tyler in the 85th minute of play forced Leo & Chivo's goalkeeper Kirby Park to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Habana F.C were the better team. Habana F.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
