In the 14th minute Luther Michel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirby Park saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sal Worthington fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jagiellonia Cincinnati's protests and gave Sal Worthington a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Arnold Slaughter fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ward Boone's late challenge caught a Jagiellonia Cincinnati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ward Boone helped the player get up and apologised. Arnold Slaughter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Gagne having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Cincinnati's goalkeeper Jesus Gagne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnold Slaughter. Kirby Park made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louie Pickett in the 40th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Jagiellonia Cincinnati got a freekick which was hit by Terrence Griggs. In the 46th minute, Alan Eaton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th match minute, Jagiellonia Cincinnati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Ziegler to maneuver through the defense. Alan Eaton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Louie Pickett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kirby Park showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louie Pickett, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The supporters of Leo & Chivo booed when Jagiellonia Cincinnati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louie Pickett didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Alan Eaton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Gagne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louie Pickett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Jagiellonia Cincinnati got a freekick which was hit by Luther Michel. Louie Pickett didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-2 via right post in the game's 80th minute. Jagiellonia Cincinnati's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 85th match minute, Jagiellonia Cincinnati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louie Pickett to maneuver through the defense. When Arnold Slaughter came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Leo & Chivo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Slaughter couldn't finish the play. Arnold Slaughter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Gagne having to interfere. Jesus Gagne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Slaughter in the 100th minute of play. A collision led to Jagiellonia Cincinnati getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Rafael Ziegler hit a great ball.
