Port Carbon FC's Len Spaulding played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marlin Woodall in the 22nd minute of play. When Warren Starnes came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the San Diego Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Starnes couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Port Carbon FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Lamar Tomlinson hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Warren Starnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Len Spaulding made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Warren Starnes sent off a good shot on target. Warren Starnes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Len Spaulding came out and tried to block the shot, but Warren Starnes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. If Craig Webber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Alexis Friend hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Port Carbon FC's goalkeeper Len Spaulding had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Warren Starnes. 44 minutes into the match, Port Carbon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marlin Woodall came free, but Len Spaulding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, San Diego Minas's Warren Starnes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Len Spaulding made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Craig Webber made a kick off. Marlin Woodall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Len Spaulding read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Len Spaulding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marlin Woodall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Warren Starnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Len Spaulding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlin Woodall in the 61st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marlin Woodall in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Len Spaulding saved Port Carbon FC from getting behind. Marlin Woodall got in the 65th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Len Spaulding handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Marlin Woodall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexis Friend kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Marlin Woodall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Len Spaulding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Warren Starnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Starnes in the 84th minute of play forced Port Carbon FC's goalkeeper Len Spaulding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Len Spaulding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marlin Woodall, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Port Carbon FC's Len Spaulding played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Starnes in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Louie Valencia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Len Spaulding showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. San Diego Minas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Port Carbon FC for a fine match.
