Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Craig Webber got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Rancheros de Dallas's zone, Craig Webber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo McConnell came out of the goal and Craig Webber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Craig Webber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes Port Carbon FC got a freekick which was hit by Terence Stapleton. In the 20th minute of the match Kasey Proctor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Len Spaulding showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Port Carbon FC's Brent Tompkins got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 32nd minute of the match Alexis Friend completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alexis Friend a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Alexis Friend hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Len Spaulding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casper Giles in the 35th minute of play. Brent Tompkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ricardo McConnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Len Spaulding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casper Giles in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Dominique Crow's late challenge caught a Rancheros de Dallas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dominique Crow helped the player get up and apologised. Len Spaulding made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Nigel Trimble sent off a good shot on target. Lamar Tomlinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo McConnell having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Rancheros de Dallas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Little to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo McConnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Tompkins in the 80th minute of play. When Donald Johnston came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Rancheros de Dallas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donald Johnston couldn't finish the play. Ricardo McConnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Tompkins in the 86th minute of play. Casper Giles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Len Spaulding made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nigel Trimble in the 95th minute.
