Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Noel Mayberry started the match with the kick off. Carrizo Springs's Duke Zapata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Mayberry in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Hodge during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 14 minutes, Noel Mayberry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St. John AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Mayberry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robbie Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Meyer having to interfere. Angelo Pack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Meyer having to interfere. Guillermo Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Miranda in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duke Zapata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Robbie Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrizo Springs's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbie Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Meyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duke Zapata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Mayberry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Jaime Hodge lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carrizo Springs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Emanuel Aldrich hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. St. John AFC's Alexander Ham was completely in control and kicked 0-2 on penalty. Guillermo Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Duke Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carrizo Springs's zone, Guillermo Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duke Zapata came out of the goal and Guillermo Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th match minute, Carrizo Springs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius Browning to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Miranda struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Duke Zapata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. John AFC.
