If John Howard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Yonkers's goal looked a bit too open when Asher Rader came free, but Neal Richardson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamal Morales came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Yonkers's Wyatt Carrington. But to his dismay, Wyatt Carrington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Neal Richardson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Philadelphia Eagles's Palmer McCord shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. When Stacy Stephenson fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Philadelphia Eagles's protests and gave Stacy Stephenson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yonkers booed when Philadelphia Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stacy Stephenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Stacy Stephenson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stacy Stephenson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Neal Richardson made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Wyatt Carrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamal Morales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Wyatt Carrington made the kick off in the second half. The Philadelphia Eagles fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Philadelphia Eagles's Edmund MacDonald looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stacy Stephenson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neal Richardson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Stacy Stephenson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neal Richardson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Palmer McCord, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Neal Richardson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmer McCord in the 81st minute of play. In the 81st minute, Eusebio Oakley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Palmer McCord ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Neal Richardson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 86 minutes into the match, Stacy Stephenson notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Yonkers's Neal Richardson. Neal Richardson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Max Stubbs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neal Richardson was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Stacy Stephenson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neal Richardson having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Max Stubbs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Philadelphia Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Stubbs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Philadelphia Eagles players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
