After a rather tough play, Yonkers's Eusebio Oakley got a free kick in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marlin Woodall in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neal Richardson saved Yonkers from getting behind. Warren Starnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neal Richardson having to interfere. Neal Richardson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Warren Starnes's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Warren Starnes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Neal Richardson. John Howard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Guilherme Lage made a huge save. Neal Richardson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marlin Woodall, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. John Howard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th match minute, San Diego Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Finn to maneuver through the defense. Neal Richardson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Starnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Warren Starnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yonkers's goalkeeper Neal Richardson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neal Richardson came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by San Diego Minas's Warren Starnes. But to his dismay, Warren Starnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 45th minute, John Howard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When San Diego Minas's Warren Starnes in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yonkers's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wyatt Carrington made a kick off. Neal Richardson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marlin Woodall, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, San Diego Minas's Marlin Woodall ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Neal Richardson. Neal Richardson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Warren Starnes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. San Diego Minas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Marlin Woodall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yonkers's Wyatt Carrington in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Diego Minas's goalie prevented a goal. Warren Starnes scored 0-5 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Neal Richardson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marlin Woodall received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Neal Richardson came out and tried to block the shot, but Marlin Woodall slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Marlin Woodall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neal Richardson was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Ramon Finn kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Wyatt Carrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neal Richardson made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Warren Starnes sent off a good shot on target. When Marlin Woodall came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the San Diego Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marlin Woodall couldn't finish the play. If Marlin Woodall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Diego Minas played a much better game than Yonkers and deserved their victory. The Yonkers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
