In the 29th minute, San Diego Minas's Marlin Woodall ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Garry Arnold. Garry Arnold yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Marlin Woodall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garry Arnold was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marlin Woodall in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garry Arnold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 minutes of play, San Diego Minas's Warren Starnes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garry Arnold was left in no man's land by his defense there! Newburyport FC's Garry Arnold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marlin Woodall in the 46th minute of play. Garry Arnold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlin Woodall in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
