An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathon Patel in the 14th minute of play forced Mipau's goalkeeper Wyatt Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th match minute, Mipau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Galvan to maneuver through the defense. The Orland AFC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Orland AFC's Johnathon Patel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wyatt Pacheco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Rodriquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Simon Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Mipau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Velasco couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Dennis Ball got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Orland AFC booed when Mipau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Countess didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fred Countess during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 49 played minutes, Orland AFC's Wes Love shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wyatt Pacheco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Orland AFC reached it. After the first half Orland AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Velasco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Mipau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Galvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Levine having to interfere. Wyatt Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathon Patel in the 62nd minute of play. Alfonso Galvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65th minute, Simon Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Alfonso Galvan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Levine. Orland AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Galvan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 73 minutes into the match, Orland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Velasco came free, but Aaron Levine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Countess was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Fred Countess hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 83rd match minute, Mipau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremiah John to maneuver through the defense. Mipau's Simon Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremiah John sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Simon Velasco sped through Orland AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aaron Levine. Aaron Levine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mipau were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Orland AFC for a fine match.
