The supporters of Crystal Cove F.C. booed when Dobby Dogs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirk Keane didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Dobby Dogs FC's Johnson Earl got control of the ball when Ollie Eason tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dobby Dogs FC's Ned Metz got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Crystal Cove F.C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kent Henley hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Crystal Cove F.C.'s Daryl Sweet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnson Earl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Dobby Dogs FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Frankie Bellamy hit a great ball. If Daryl Sweet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Dobby Dogs FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Creech. Ollie Eason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Johnson Earl made a huge save. 34 minutes into the game, Ned Metz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ernest Cunningham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daryl Sweet struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Johnson Earl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crystal Cove F.C.. Conrad Horton hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Dobby Dogs FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacob Creech stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ned Metz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, Jacob Creech recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernest Cunningham. Jacob Creech showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Ollie Eason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnson Earl having to interfere. The supporters of Dobby Dogs FC booed when Crystal Cove F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad Horton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dobby Dogs FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nelson Dodge in the 70th minute. Nelson Dodge made a great header on Dobby Dogs FC's corner, it was just that Crystal Cove F.C.'s Ernest Cunningham managed to reach the ball for a save. Jacob Creech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ernest Cunningham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crystal Cove F.C.'s Ollie Eason got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ned Metz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Cunningham having to interfere. Ernest Cunningham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Creech, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
