In the 16th minute, Kevin Hartman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernest Cunningham had great luck who in the 28thth minute grab hold of the ball when Kevin Hartman from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Claude Doe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daryl Sweet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Daryl Sweet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Doe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Oliver Holland fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crystal Cove F.C.'s protests and gave Oliver Holland a yellow card for diving instead. Oliver Holland hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Ernest Cunningham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Hartman in the 38th minute of play. Giovanni Fuller's late challenge caught a flasheros F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of flasheros F.C booed when Crystal Cove F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Eason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuan Ashby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Ernest Cunningham made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Crystal Cove F.C.'s goalkeeper Ernest Cunningham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tuan Ashby. After 49 minutes of play, flasheros F.C's Tuan Ashby made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernest Cunningham was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tuan Ashby might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernest Cunningham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni Fuller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Doe having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Tuan Ashby managed to get in a good position for a shot. flasheros F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuan Ashby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Cunningham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ollie Eason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Doe having to interfere.
