Spectators: 7797 (Terracing: 5849, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Korey McNamara kicked off to start the match. When Terry Call came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Phillipsburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terry Call couldn't finish the play. If Johnny Eckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 minutes of play, Phillipsburg's Terry Call made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carson Hankins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bradly Whitley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. In the 21st minute, Cole Kaufman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Eckert took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carson Hankins. Carson Hankins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 58 played minutes Phillipsburg got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Parra. In the 64th minute Johnny Eckert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carson Hankins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Victor Rushing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Geraldo Parra fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phillipsburg's protests and gave Geraldo Parra a yellow card for diving instead. Geraldo Parra kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Carson Hankins made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Terry Call sent off a good shot on target. Toby Harrell hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Johnny Eckert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the game, Cole Kaufman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phillipsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cayuga Heights AFC the free kick. The supporters of Cayuga Heights AFC booed when Phillipsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cole Kaufman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korey McNamara in the 87th minute of play forced Phillipsburg's goalkeeper Kory Hall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Korey McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kory Hall having to interfere. Kory Hall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korey McNamara in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Phillipsburg had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
