In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olivehurst's goalkeeper Anton Sweet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Sweet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Swiftyville's goal looked a bit too open when Oren Thome came free, but Wilhelm Hermansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarrod Baltazar's late challenge caught a Olivehurst's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Byrne in the 38th minute of play forced Olivehurst's goalkeeper Anton Sweet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oren Thome to make the kick off. Graham Atkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Swiftyville players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Olivehurst.
