Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oren Thome took the kick off in the first half of the match. Oren Thome's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Don Doyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Anton Sweet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarrod Bates in the 11th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Barnwell got a corner. Olivehurst's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Derick Blue ran over to the corner to take the kick. Derick Blue made a great header on Barnwell's corner, it was just that Olivehurst's Anton Sweet managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Olivehurst's zone, Rodrick Cerna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Sweet came out of the goal and Rodrick Cerna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Don Doyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colby Reaves in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Colby Reaves notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Barnwell's Don Doyle. Don Doyle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 36 played minutes Olivehurst got a freekick which was hit by Wade Crowell. Don Doyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oren Thome in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Olivehurst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Cummins to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Derick Blue managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Oren Thome managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olivehurst's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oren Thome was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Olivehurst were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarrod Bates made a kick off. Olivehurst's Anton Sweet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarrod Bates in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olivehurst's Mervin Meza got a free kick in the 54th minute. Anton Sweet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrick Cerna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olivehurst's Alec Minor shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Don Doyle but with some difficulty. Jarrod Bates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrick Cerna struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Anton Sweet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barnwell. After 74 played minutes Olivehurst got a freekick which was hit by Graham Atkinson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarrod Bates in the 81st minute of play forced Olivehurst's goalkeeper Anton Sweet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colby Reavess short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Don Doyle to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 88th minute Rodrick Cerna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Sweet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Tuan Iverson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnwell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olivehurst the free kick. After a rather tough play, Barnwell's Tuan Iverson got a free kick in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Barnwell's goalkeeper Don Doyle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Colby Reaves. When Oren Thome came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Olivehurst fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oren Thome couldn't finish the play. Mervin Meza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olivehurst were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
